The transverse rib geometry of imported rebar is mainly ordinary square thread or ordinary oblique square thread. The transverse rib geometry of domestic rebar mainly includes spiral shape, herringbone shape and crescent shape. The order principle of rebar is generally based on the mechanical process performance or mechanical strength index on the basis of meeting the gripping performance requirements required by engineering design.
The corresponding national standards for steel bars ASTM A-615-04a are:
A615 Gr.40 is equivalent to HRB 400 of national standard GB/T 1499.2-2018,
The A615 Gr.60 is equivalent to the national standard GB/T 1499.2-2018 HRB 500
The A615 Gr.80 is equivalent to HRB 600 of the national standard GB/T 1499.2-2018
ASTM A615 ASTM A615 is the U.S. standard for Carbon steel ribbed and round steel bars for reinforced concrete reinforcement.
The current ASTM A615 standard (2012 edition) contains four grades of rebar - Class 40, Class 60 (60 KSI, 420MPa, 60 and above strength rebar is high strength rebar), Class 75 (75 KSI, 520MPa) and Class 80 (80 KSI, 550MPa).
